20’s ARE FOR YOU TO WORK ON YOU, FOR YOU

This short post is my attempt at a detailed explanation, following a short quote I shared on my Instagram feed. I found the quote while wandering in the endless loop of my explore page, a dangerous trend for someone like me.

However, the quote was striking and summarizes in little detail, what I feel our 20’s should be about– self-identification. If we are being transparent, this is usually a difficult feat to achieve, considering that our 20s produce an inner rebellion carried over from juvenile delinquency, fake friendships, relationship problems, and self-sustenance.

These experiences also contribute to shaping our behavior, sometimes to the point of changing who we are for others. For example, picking up unhealthy lifestyles to fit in a circle, or altering our physical appearance to satisfy a partner! Other times it’s changing to positive habits not because we’ve been convicted to but to be accepted in certain circles.

But ideally, our 20’s is usually the time we are single and free- it is paramount that people find themselves in this season. What are your likes/ dislikes, what makes you happy/sad, do you love pets, how do you manage your time, how best do you communicate, do you love a more quiet time or more TV time, what makes you efficient, who would you love to mate? And the barrage of questions is endless.

Regardless of what answers you get, the most important approach is “work on you for you”.

You look stunning in all the pictures.
My favorite is look 1. I love the vintage straw bag.
My question is, how can we find ourselves really?
Any suggestions on practical steps to take?
    Can you share your story?
