BEAUTY & the BEAST

I saw todays post on a page of one of the so many bloggers I follow HER OWN LABEL and felt the impulse to use it today since I felt that there has been so many uncomfortable issues surrounding what beauty is to a woman and how best to define beauty 

What is beauty? Does it exist? Or is there a beast
corrupting the mind from what true beauty really is so that you never see it?
Deep questions.  But yet there are many out there who struggle with
finding the answer.  Take a mirror and look deep into the eyes of what
most people say is the window to your soul.  What do you see? Pain? Are
they pure? 


Makeup can cover up a lot of things but it cannot
cover up anguish  or pride in ones eyes.  You see, our eyes say a lot
about what is going on deep within.  For many are deceived by what a
mirror is reflecting with its fascination and obsession for outer beauty, fancy
clothes, and idolized jewelry that we all feel we need to be beautiful.
 But this simply is not true.  Beauty comes from within.
 Therefore we must guard what our eyes are letting in.  


.  And the media makes it challenging for us all.
 It’s so easy to be intrigued by famous celebrities or commercials that
portray a false image of what true beauty really is.  Especially reality
T.V. Ever notice how many women either have dds, a big booty, long hair, or a
skinny hour glass figure?  Our eyes are taking in all of this.
 As a female, it is that much harder for us not to compare ourselves with
the world’s definition of beauty.  


I say this… if deep within you are full of life and
happy and humble with who you are, THEN look in the mirror to see if those
exuberant pink pumps are looking on point with your gorgeous pink lipgloss!
 Just don’t look into that same exact mirror to see if those same pumps
and lipgloss make you FEEL beautiful, happy, and full of life.  


.  Our clothes and makeup should portray a
reflection of who we are inside – not define us. It’s that simple.  That
my dear… is what beauty is all about.

    I love this look. Your vest looks amazing and your hair too! Beauty is a tricky topic to talk about sometimes I think, I love your view on it and I definitely agree that our clothes should be a reflection of us.
