WHY WEAR WHITE FOR A WEDDING
So not so long ago I was contacted by Carolyn from the
Lover.ly group and that helps in wedding planning.

To cut the long story short I was asked to write on
the debate of wearing white to a wedding when you’re not the bride and if this
vary with regions and also if its acceptable to pair white accessories or shoe?

My first thought was that, why wear white for a
wedding but then again except you have exclusive information that the bride is
wearing a blue, red, yellow, orange, green any other color except white
(don’t be shocked people do wear such colors to the alter).

Another reason someone would deliberately do such, is
if that is the dress code, and until recently it’s never been an ideal choice.

I remember going through a blog some months back and
there where gorgeously dressed bridesmaids in white, and the irony they looked
better dressed than the bride.

Which brings me to my next point, except you decide to
be bitchy and steal the day for the bride I do not think it’s a bright idea to
wear white, especially as that’s the color of attraction for the bride.

Speaking if wearing white to a wedding varies with
regions, I had to Google and this did not give me answers except clear
suggestions why white isn’t a best option especially to a white wedding. in my
country Nigeria, that would raise brows and you trust us to think wild (did
this lady once date the group, is she wearing white to drive home a point, or
just she want to just be a unruly).

In the case of accessories, I do not have a problem with that, as much as
it remains classy.
it remains classy.
With that being said, I’ll love to hear your opinion
on this matter on wearing white to a wedding when you are not the bride? Is the
rule dated? Does the concept vary by region? Is wearing white accessory or shoe
acceptable
