Navigating DC’s culinary scene and cultural landmarks in my timeless AllSaints outerwear trench coat.

There’s something deliciously indulgent wanting to have chicken on your birthday in a well made trench coat. This year, I opted for a low key birthday celebration – brunch at The Hamilton followed by a cultural excursion, all enveloped in my beloved AllSaints trench coat. I did put together a vlog for anyone curious enough to watch.
The Hamilton: A Birthday Brunch Affair
The cloudy skies and brisk air created the perfect backdrop for my birthday brunch. Having previously fallen for their peanut pancakes months ago, I found myself drawn back to “The Hamilton’s” warm interior, defying the weather in my favorite outerwear piece. My first venture into their sushi offerings was an unexpected revelation. The last time I was this pleasantly surprised was during my visit to Oku – however, the sushi at Hamilton’s was genuinely exceptional. A celebratory ice cream dessert marked the finale of my birthday weekend festivities.
The experience proved worthwhile, though the service left something to be desired as the first time I had a meal there.

There’s a peculiar melancholy that settles after birthday celebrations conclude – that transition from being momentarily celebrated back to everyday existence.

Cultural Immersion: Smithsonian Air & Space
Post-brunch, we ventured to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum – a perfect complement to the day. This complimentary museum experience rekindled my passion for scientific discovery, particularly astronomy. It is impressive what good leadership can inspire, and in the United State J.F. Kennedy led congress to push for man to make it to the moon. The exhibition was truly inspiring and I intend to return to explore more of what man’s curiosity has led to.

D.C residents enjoy an embarrassment of riches when it comes to cultural museums, and mostly free. The Air and Space Museum stands as a testament to human courage, showcasing narratives of pioneers who pushed boundaries to expand our cosmic understanding. The curation masterfully blends visual elements, soundscapes, and interactive installations – an essential stop for any DC visitor.

The AllSaints Investment Piece
My trusty AllSaints trench coat deserves its moment in the spotlight. This year’s most significant wardrobe acquisition has become my constant companion, mentioned at every possible opportunity – and deservedly so. As part of my 5 year initiative to cultivate a sustainable, timeless wardrobe, this Allsaints piece represents everything I value in luxury essentials. Beyond the impeccable construction, the customer service experience – from purchase through delivery and beyond – exemplifies retail excellence.

This coat symbolizes my evolving approach to personal style: investing in fewer, more significant pieces that offer versatility, quality, and longevity.
