What is Fashion to you?
·
Fashion to me is a distinctive
style in the way people choose to dress. It’s different personalities and
attitudes all trying to be seen and heard.

How would you describe your style?
·
It’s quite hard for me to
describe my style because it keeps growing, but since it has to be put in
words, I’d say my style is sort of edgy chic.

No trend comes to mind, but that’s
because I rarely follow trends.

Challenge you face as a style blogger?
·
Consistency and writing. It’s
quite hard to keep a regular schedule of style posts when you have other
priorities. But I’m working on it, because consistency is very important. With
regards to writing, I wouldn’t say this is a ‘challenge’ as such, because I
love writing. However, some outfits I put together are simply just that.
Outfits. There are no cute stories behind my jumper or funny metaphors to make
my readers laugh. Sometimes there’s just no reason behind what I wore. I simply
felt like it. But you can’t just write ‘I felt like it’ at the bottom of all
your lovely blog pictures, which is where the ‘challenge’ of writing comes in.

Style and beauty secret?
·
It’s not actually a secret, but
one thing I never fail to do is to take off my make up before I go to bed.

Blogging for me is great. I
love the new friends I’ve made, and the niceties that come with it all. It’s one
of my favourite hobbies to date! What I don’t really like about the
‘blogosphere’ as you so nicely put it, are the comparisons that come along with
it. I don’t see the benefit in being compared to one another, when none of us are
the same two people and never will be. Usually, what people compare against, are
a bunch of inaccurate information. I just don’t think it’s fair to compare,
when you don’t have all the information and probably never will. If comparing
is how you evaluate your worth, then you will always be losing. I try to stay
away from doing it to others as well as myself.

Numbers. Thanks to social
media, blogging has become a big numbers game. For the bloggers, for the
sponsors, for the viewers, for just everyone. If you don’t have the highest
numbers, somehow you’re losing the race. What’s that about?! We all seem to want
a large following for whatever reason. Maybe to be noticed or to get freebies
or to get fantastic deals with companies etc. But the way I see it is, the
numbers don’t even matter anymore, because if someone can cheat their way to
the top (e.g. buy followers) and still get the same amount of attention and
recognition as someone who worked their way to the top, then what’s the point?!
The final ‘prize’ isn’t anything to write home about if both parties achieve
the same thing. I try and focus on content rather than numbers.
