NEW IN: VINTAGE COOL KID SUMMER ITEMS x ALTE VIBES

ASOS gold chunky heels
Happy 4th of July-a public holiday, I actually look forward to here in the States.  Around this time of the year, when the vibe of summer is at momentum, I go to my favorite thrift store (Value Village) to donate old items. After donating items, a discount code is given to you at Value Village, which is located at the outskirts of the DC area. For me, a journey I’ld have had to make a mental note of, weeks prior, and this was no different.
The thrift store also provides a discount of up to 50% during holidays like this one, and I never miss out on it.
XOXO knock-off, of the Dior like, trendy purse.

Most times when I go thrift shopping, I proceed with a theme (season, color pattern, trend) in mind that justifies the little coins I’m parting with.

—-For this trip, I channeled my Alte ( A group of Nigerian youth who are ahead of the streetwear/fashion and music scene in Nigeria. Typically known by their different fashion and alternative music) sense of style and opted for the pieces in this blog post.

Two Floral Skirts –Express &  The Limited

Store The Limited
The Alté starter pack

My favorite outfit, a sultry purple polyester gown

An oversized white shirt, with a belt I found edgy and unique

I have taken a liken to linen lately, which I consider an elite material. Linen pops and allows colors to stand out in whatever cut, shape or design.

A Charles David sling heels

Comment below which of the items are your favorite, and the sum total of the purchase? I also got a one-piece red suit and floral jumper, that isn’t featured on the blog today but will be worn soon.

Linen- buttoned down gown in pink
Playing set, for how I’ll want to style these pieces.
