See Ten (10) of My Favorite Apartment Furnishings

Furnishings get me excited and giddy, and I love that I get to put my apartment together with Burrow. I will share more about the brand as you read the rest of the blog today. Moving is challenging but I enjoy the aftermath of figuring out how to decorate my space. I recently shared my story about moving to a new apartment in this exciting update. Good furniture makes a space come alive, and furnishings are the perfect complement that makes a room come together.

I am sharing a photo speak of furnishings in my apartment for your inspiration. But it is not the first time I have shared images of my space on the blog. I shared an update on my mid-century bedroom design in 2021, which was inspired for my love for old hollywood movies with a lot of brown and earth tones. Time has passed, and since then my taste has changed. I am more adventurous in my outlook towards interior design and I love my furnitures to be simple, modular, futuristic and artistic. So my apartment feel did not come as a surprise, because I have spent an unwholesome amount of time studying and imagining spaces.

The furnishings of my new space, tells a story of how I feel about the present and the future I imagine. My last space had a mid-century vibe, and I loved the juxtaposition of a modern apartment with vintage finishings. But with my new space, I went for rhythm! Every but of furnishing interacts with the other. The black and white aesthetic of the pillow and rug go well together, the bench and the bed have the same color and texture, same as the coffee table.

I love the final vibe and feel of my current space and it reflects my growth trajectory and not too comfy to remind myself that I have just started.

JAPANDI INTERIOR FURNISHINGS

Every new space I move into is an opportunity to re-imagine my living experience. I ditched the mid-century vibe and opted for a mix of the Japanese-Scandinavian vibe called “JAPANDI.” When I made the decision to redecorate my new space, I knew I wanted something minimal and functional and with a bit of nature. Sometimes, a space being too minimal makes it uninspiring, and too functional makes it rowdy. I found the balance of worlds in the Japandi aesthetic.

The Japandi aesthetic is a fusion of the Japanese simplistic interior with Scandinavian minimalism, a perfect fusion! The next step was to find a brand that did both effortlessly while keeping ethical standards of accessibility, pricepoint, and affordability. I found it in Burrow.

An Apartment Uplift with Burrow

Burrow stands out as a brand in an already saturated furniture market. The brand has an affordable price point, a variety of modular products, free shipping, and is sustainability conscious. So, I practically decided to work with the brand in designing the whole space, which includes rugsbed, bedframe, credenzacoffee table, side table, benches, armchair, sofathrow pillows and the covers, et. c

I am totally flawed by the concept for their tables and benches, which takes about 10-min to put together. Although everything gets me excited, I am particularly fond of the throw pillows- the covers have a shrub, wool-like feel, with Aztec patterns that are unique and brighten up the space.

There are a few products that are random but are great accents to the space. My vinyl record players, for example, are birthday gifts, and the accents are thrifted but they all come together to create a rhythm.

Let me know what you think of the space in the comment section, and if you do share, tag me using my handle (@t2pitchy).
