LESSONS FROM MY WALK WITH GOD

My Christian faith and my walk with God is one I’m gradually learning to take seriously and my daily encounter with his words has left me heartbroken as to why I never did so early in life.

I
grew up in a very committed Christian home and I couldn’t be grateful to God for that, considering that most people don’t have a choice to their beliefs especially when they are born into a background that may be less accepting. Being conscious of who God is and what we can do
with the power he has given us, was a lesson I had to learn and still
learning about.

So early this year I took a major decision as to holding myself accountable to what I watch, see and my association. I’m became part of a group (iVow), of women who come together to pray, reach out to women in need, physically an spiritually and hold each
other accountable for their actions. That has to be one of my best conscious decisions this year. I see the lives and read and see the stories of people whose
daily living and experience has been transformed put together and
organized just by their believe dedication and honesty to the one true
God.

I’m
learning that in my walk with God, I have to be committed to feel the
total outpouring of his love ❤️ and that’s not in material things (which
is a knowledge I keep trying to run from) but in the peace, freedom,
sanity and organization that living a God called life  can bring.
The greater the commitment to Gods word and his love, the better clarity and purpose you feel towards life.

You don’t get to this point in a day, but by daily immersing yourself through his word and using each experience to grow … What simple life lessons has living a faith based life thought you?

This is a heartwarming post. The year that I realized that Christianity is more of knowing God on a personal level and not just only going to church and being active in church was the year that my life changed for God. I am still a work in process, like yourself, and I don't regret ever making the decision to know God personally.

Thank you for sharing this post.

Nicely written Grace. This is something I've also been trying to do in my life, holding myself accountable when it comes to what I consume to ensure that they're in line with God's standards. xx

      Thank you Demi,

A lot of what we see, watch and hear influences our decision directly or indirectly, so yes to accountability

Thank You so much for sharing, I'm definitely checking out IVow. One of the things I've learned to do this year that I've struggled with over the years is surrendering my will and trusting God completely. It's been really hard but I'm starting to understand that for God to work the way He should in my life certain things have to give.
Thanks for reminding me to be cautious about what I feed my spirit. This is just what I needed

Hi Grace. TBVH, I think the religion- conscious (Christians) ones have somehow come to the realization that one cannot do anything without God. Our fellowship should be far more than going to church and pretending to be holy. Knowing God more has a being one of my to-dos for this year, and I'm working towards that point where I don't have to act like knowing Him is some kind of assignment, but something that comes as naturally as breathing or blinking.

Thanks Grace for sharing this. I do that too, that is hold myself accountable for what I let into my system. I always make sure that it's in line with God's word. It's one of the baby steps we take to get to that point in our lives where the word becomes a part of us absolutely. Thanks once again for sharing.

Thank you Grace for sharing this. I do this too that is hold myself accountable for whatever I let into my system. I always make sure its in line with God's word.
"…whatever is true, pure, of good virtue, of good report…"
These are baby steps that we need to take until we get to that point in our lives where God's word becomes a part of us absolutely. Thanks again for sharing.
