THE STRUGGLE OF A MILLENNIAL

its almost a familiar word and has been used frequently to address creatives and content developers alike, but a number of us just consume that information and have a vague idea as to who a millennial is, and I never really thought it addressed a large number of group of people until I searched google. A millennial according to google
mil·len·nial
miˈlenēəl/
noun
plural noun: millennials; plural noun: Millennials
a person reaching young adulthood in the early 21st century…

What this implies is that for the most part of us reading this, we are classified under this category. Today the struggles of anyone attaining independence in the 21st century isn’t a mere feat, from the world pressure, to peer group, to religion, to immediate society, to personal struggle. This is like when most of us have it and then triggers our short comings of depression, anxiety, low self esteem and to those who don’t have a huge support system, they take the short cut and walk out on life (Suicide).

To those living in Nigeria the case is intense, you’re battling with terrible governance, need to marry on time, getting yourself together, probably being a bread winner and the list goes on. Then the pressure when someone from your age brackets, finds their way and you’re wondering when you’ll get your own break.

I just want to say everything is going to be alright.

It may take longer than you bargained but Time has a way of sorting things out, but also don’t give up and finding ways to make your dreams come through. Don’t stop learning and connecting with people who might facilitate that next breakthrough. When it gets really tough know that Jesus love you and there has to be that one person you can cry and vent to to make you feel better.

Life has a way of just working out if you stick around long enough pursuing your path…

Back to my outfit: I didn’t think I will find myself wearing my white Shirt backwards anytime soon, but my experimental self wont allow me what are your thoughts??by the way I am still raising funds HERE for my graduate studies, your contribution will go a long way

Love this post, so honest and from the heart! I definitely agree, things have a way of working out in the end and we can all help each other through it. Everyone faces battles in life, but it's really interesting to hear about it from your perspective and the things you have to go through as a Nigerian woman as well. Thanks for writing such an enlightening post 🙂 Loving the outfit too! x

The outfit is amazing. You're so creative and I love how as a fashion blogger you do not conform to trends or 'expected' mode of dressing. Keep being awesome
